Two Fijian security guards on private deployment in Iraq have been killed in a bomb attack.

45 year old Kelepi Qaranivalu and 35 year year old Eroni Vuniboka died when a mine exploded under a convoy of vehicles they were escorting.

Two other Fijians were seriously injured, along with two Americans and two Nepalese.

The Fijians were employed by the British security company, Global Risk Strategies, under private contract.

It's the third incident in which Fijians have been killed in hostile action in Iraq.
