The Serious Fraud Unit of the Fiji police is investigating millions of dollars missing from the company managed by the coup front man George Speight's father, Sam Speight.

Fiji TV reports that the investigation is into Rewa Dairy, the only company supplying fresh milk and butter in Fiji.

The chartered accountants, PricewaterhouseCoopers, are currently conducting an audit into Rewa Dairy's accounts which is expected to help in the police investigations.

A police source is quoted as saying they have obtained statements from the company management and are awaiting the audit report.

The company management says they have nothing to hide.
