There's been a renewed call for political leaders in Fiji to promote national unity, not ethnic division.
The opposition leader, Mick Beddoes, says he's disappointed that the prime minister, Laisenia Qarase, is urging indigenous Fijians to vote along racial lines.
And, he says the leader of the Labour Party, Mahendra Chaudhry, also asks Fiji Indians to vote for him.
Mr Beddoes says Mr Qarase should be confident enough of his own policies that people vote for him on those.
"He's the one who should be leading the call for national unity, not ethnic unity. Both he and Mr Chaudhry continue to encourage ethnic unity and by encouraging ethnic unity, we keep dragging on in the area of racial polarisation which is counter-productive to trying to create national unity for Fiji."
