An inquest into the death of a woman whose battered body was found on Norfolk Island, is expected to finish today.
The parents of Janelle Patton yesterday delivered a moving defence of their daughter's reputation, seeking to balance some of the negative evidence about her life.
The body of the former Sydney resident was discovered on the island on March the 31st, 2002, the day after her parents Ron and Carol arrived to visit her.
In a victim impact statement read to the inquest, the family of the 29-year-old described her as a warm and loving woman.
Police investigating possible motives for her killing have exposed details of Ms Patton's connections on the island, not all of which were harmonious.
Some of those named as persons of interest in the case were involved in disputes with Miss Patton.
