There are new fears being expressed in Samoa over foreigners and foreign owned businesses being set up in the country.
The Opposition leader, Le Mamea Ropati, told parliament that non- Samoans were starting to move in and all business opportunities could be taken over.
Le Mamea said he's saddened when he sees a foreigner, who has not struggled in Samoa, set up a business.
His concerns were echoed by MP, Aeau Peniamina, who after years in Fiji and Great Britain, said he didn't want to see Samoa become a multi-cultural nation.
He said he would be proud and would go to his grave with happiness if only Samoans lived in Samoa.
The Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, said that it was possible the member's view about foreigners was no different to that of other MPs in the House.
He said it was an issue that has been raised in Parliament many times.
