A government minister, a vice minister and a National Alliance MP have resigned from the Papua New Guinea Government to join the Opposition.
The Lands Minister, Petrus Nane Thomas, the Trade and Industry Vice-Minister, Timothy Tala, and MP Teta Geoka handed in their resignations yesterday.
The Post Courier reports they were not happy with the Government and Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare.
Last night, Sir Michael said he had yet to receive the three MP's resignations.
He accused the Opposition of preying on young MPs and misleading them for their own greedy and personal agenda.
The three, however, claimed they have had no liberty to exercise ministerial powers and that their appointments were just to beef up government numbers.
