The Pitcairn Court of Appeal has reserved its judgement on whether the trial of 13 Pitcairn Islanders facing rape and sexual assault charges can be tried under British law.

Lawyers for the 13 men were appealing the decision of the Pitcairn Island Supreme Court.

The Pitcairn Court of Appeal is expected to make a decision soon as the trial is due to take place on Pitcairn Island in September.
