Solomon Islands has received the credentials of the new ambassador of Israel, Michael Ronen.
The Canberra-based diplomat has offered Israel's assistance with health services and invited Solomon Islanders to be trained in agriculture in Israel.
Meanwhile, the Solomon Islands prime minister, Sir Allan Kemakeza, says the Palestinian Authority has expressed interest in setting up diplomatic relations with Honiara.
Sir Allan is due to meet Michael Ronen tomorrow.
