Police in Solomon Islands have taken into custody ten people in connection with unrest in the centre of Guadalcanal island.
The ten are being detained in Honiara after allegedly burning houses and harassing residents.
They are yet to be charged.
Earlier this week, extra police were sent to the Gold Ridge area after reports of harassment of villagers by a group of ex-militants.
Mr Oriensaka says the group includes people who have been released on bail.
But the assistant commissioner of the Regional Assistance Mission police, Errol Raiser, said there was no truth to reports that militants were re-grouping.
