German athlete Drechsler ends career at Tahiti meet

Germany's veteran long-jumper, Heike Drechsler, has ended her career at the Tahiti athletics grand prix, winning with a 6,49 metre leap.

Drechsler, who'll turn 40 this year, was the Olympic champion in Sydney and Barcelona and she also won two world championship titles as well as four European titles.

Starting for East Germany, she also won two Olympic sprint medals in Seoul in 1988.
