Cooks' High Court to hear petitions after election

A report in the Cook Islands says the High Court will hear submissions this morning in connection with a dozen petitions resulting from the recent election.

The Cook Islands News reports that the preliminary hearing process will begin at the court in Avarua.

Robert Wigmore and Tiki Matapo have filed petitions contesting the Titikaveka constituency.

Norman George and Eugene Tatuava have lodged complaints regarding the election outcome in the Tengatangi-Areora-Ngatiarua constituency which will be heard in Atiu later this week.
