Talks between the leaders of American Samoa and Samoa postponed

Talks between leaders of American Samoa and Samoa and their top officials, on co-operative efforts between the two countries, have been postponed to the later part of November.

American Samoa's director of the department of Commerce, Ali'imau H. Scanlan says one of the main reasons for the delay is American Samoa's upcoming election.

Ali'imau says the schedules of both Samoa's prime minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, and Governor Togiola Tulafono have also to be confirmed so that both leaders are able to attend the talks.

Ali'imau says as Samoa is the host country this year it is up to them to set the agenda for the discussions.
