A report in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands says the country's Senate has approved the Budget.
The Saipan Tribune newspaper reports the senate has approved a US$218 million Bill.
The Budget now goes to the House of Representatives for approval.
The administration has asked lawmakers to restore funding to schools, health and safety bodies and the Marianas Visitors Authority.
Last year's budget was worth US$213 million.
