Six more Fiji soldiers being court martialled for their role in the Speight coup have pleaded guilty to mutiny.
This brings to 28 the number of soldiers who have pleaded guilty to mutiny.
The plea means that military prosecutors will drop the additional charges of misprision of treason and wrongful confinement of the Chaudhry government against the 28 soldiers.
They will be sentenced after mitigation.
The court martial of the other 30 soldiers will continue with a list of prominent state witnesses lined up.
Among them will be the former prime minister Sitiveni Rabuka, the suspended director of immigration, Joseph Browne, and the leader of Speight's gunmen, Ilisoni Ligairi.
