New Zealanders going on holiday in the Pacific are being called on to be more responsible.
A Responsible Tourism Code, developed by the NGO group Dev-Zone, calls for people to consider such things as protecting coral reefs, supporting local initiatives and minimising visitor impact.
Dev-Zone's Maria McMillan says the code was developed after extensive consultation with tourism organisations and bodies such as the Pacific Association of Non Government Organisations.
