Foreign remittances to increase from Fiji soldiers in Kuwait

8:40 am on 16 December 2004

Remittances from Fiji nationals working abroad are expected to increase sharply following an agreement to employ more than 500 citizens in Kuwait over the next two months.

The men will be employed by the state-owned Public Warehousing Company and will start leaving for Kuwait from Saturday.

They will be employed in logistics work delivering supplies for US troops fighting in Iraq.
