A doctor at Niue Hospital says there are now enough antibiotics and prescription tablets to see them through the festive season.

Dr Pulu says medical staff are relieved, after having run out of urgent pharmaceutical supplies for patients at the hospital.

This was due to a backlog of commercial freight to the island from Auckland due to full flights.

She says supplies from New Zealand have now arrived.

Samoa health officials were asked to supply tablets to Niue as well.
