Papua New Guinea police have raided the home of a senior solicitor who has been appointed acting Attorney-General.
The National newspaper says the raid followed allegations that Isikiel Mesulam was involved in the production of a pornographic video with his former wife.
Mr Mesulam does not deny the existence of the tape but claims it was prompted by his former wife who he says he has since left.
Mr Mesulam also says Attorney-General, Francis Damem became aware of police investigations into the video and tried to blackmail him into resigning from his position of State Solicitor.
Mr Damem says he was not blackmailing Mr Mesulam but asking him to step down gracefully.
Meanwhile, lawyers acting for the Attorney-General, are to file an action in the National Court claiming that the Governor-General, Sir Paulias Matane, was misled into appointing Mr Mesulam as acting Attorney-General.
