Owners of the fast food outlets KFC and Pizza Hut are starting the permitting process to set up Taco Bell in American Samoa.
They are targeting an opening date in June this year.
Avamua Dave Haleck says the Taco Bell restaurant will be built on the Pizza Hut site and he estimates that US$100,000 will be spent on construction.
Avamua says shareholders gave approval last week to proceed with the Taco Bell project and he says many people have enquired about when they will move on it.
The number of jobs available when the new restaurant opens hasn't yet been determined.
