The Solomon Islands prime minister, Sir Allen Kemakeza, is promising tourism operators full support.

He made the assurance during a visit to the Sand Beach Pigeon Resort which is being developed near Gizo in Western Province.

The resort's developer, Australian Hans Nergozzi, called on the Government to help the tourism industry in every possible way because it is sustainable.

The Prime Minister responded that he could not agree more.

The Sand Beach Pigeon Resort intends to bring in divers attracted by the reefs and World War Two wrecks.
