The Hawaii State Legislature has donated medical supplies for the Manu'a islands of American Samoa.

Lt Governor Ipulasi Aitofele Sunia received the donations enroute home from the Lt Governor's Association meeting in Washington D.C.

He said the supplies had been donated by state hospitals for the South Asia tsunami disaster but were left behind.

Hawaii Representatives decided to donate the medical supplies for the hurricane damaged islands of Manu'a.

Ipulasi said that the medical supplies had to be used before their expiration dates so he was very happy to accept the generous gift from the Hawaii lawmakers and Department of Health.
