While an increasing number of people are suspected of suffering from dengue fever in Tonga, the main Vaiola hospital has run out of testing materials for the disease.

Head of the Ministry of Health's Laboratory Unit, Dr. Siale 'Akau'ola says the equipment has been ordered from overseas and is expected to arrive soon.

More than one hundred people are suspected of suffering from dengue fever in Ha'apai after they reported to Niu'ui Hospital with symptoms such as fever and head ache.

Dr. 'Akau'ola says some patients in Tongatapu have been diagnosed with dengue.
