The verdict in the Solomon Islands murder trial of former militant leader Harold Keke will be announced at the end of next week.

Keke is accused or murdering Cabinet Minister Father Augustine Geve in August 2002 with Ronnie Cawa and Francis Lela.

Our correspondent in Honiara, Dorothy Wickham, says the prosecution completed its summing up on Tuesday and the defence has been doing its summing up on Wednesday.

"After the Defence summed up its case the Presiding High Court Judge, Justice Frank Kabui, announced that he would be handing down his verdict March the 18th, which is next Friday, here in Honiara at the High Court."
