Fiji's top cricket umpire could officiate at 2007 World Cup

The Fiji Cricket Association's top umpire, Tony Cooper could be officiating in the 2007 world cup.

Cooper is the lone umpire from the Asia - Pacific region to be selected in the new ten member International Cricket Council panel for the Intercontinental Cup.

The other umpires are from Bermuda, Denmark, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Kenya, Nepal, Scotland and Singapore.

They were chosen from 20 candidates at the world cup qualifying series in Malaysia.
