The daughter of the deported Chinese national known as the Mafia Queen of Fiji is to take her fight to stay in the country to the prime minister.

The Fiji Sun reports that 11-year old Wei Hsu Cheng has written letters to Laisenia Qarase and the minister for home affairs, Josefa Vosanibola.

Her guardian, businessman Jioji Bakoso, says he will deliver the letters this morning.

Wei Hsu Cheng was born in Fiji but police say she is not a Fiji citizen because both her parents were foreign nationals.

Police are now investigating immigration officials to determine how a Fiji passport was issued to her only three weeks ago on March the 23rd.

Police are also likely to charge Mr Bakoso with harbouring a fugitive at the end of their investigation.
