The budget airline, Virgin Blue, is to increase its flights to Fiji by offering a new Sydney-Nadi service four times a week from late June.

Currently the airline offers services from Melbourne and Brisbane to Nadi.

The Fiji Times quotes Virgin Blue's chief commercial officer, Stefan Picher, as saying they had already increased the Fiji market by between 50 to 60 per cent and had flown around 42,000 travellers.

Mr Picher says Australia being Fiji's largest market for tourists, they would continue to improve their service between the two countries
