The leaders of Samoa and American Samoa are holding regular bilateral talks at Samoa's Sinalei Beach Resort.
The American Samoan governor, Togiola Tulafono, said in a statement before the talks that he looked forward to reaching new understandings that significantly enhances the unique relations of the two governments.
After today's meeting, Governor Togiola and First Lady-Mary Tulafono will be official guests at Samoa's independence celebration on June the 1st.
