Revenue from sale of jet fuel drops in American Samoa

American Samoa's revenue from jet fuel sales has taken a dive since last year.

Latest figures from the government's petroleum office shows just over a year ago, sales reached up to 10 million gallons a year.

Petroleum officer Sione Kava says from January to May sales have averaged only 200,000 gallons per month.

Mr Kava said the sharp decrease in flights landing at Tafuna airport is the reason why jet fuel sales have dropped.
