A senior delegation from Samoa will to to Nuku'alofa for the five-day celebration to mark the Tongan king's 87th birthday.
The Samoan government says the Head of State, Malietoa Tanumafili II, will lead the delegation to King Taufaahau Tupou IV's birthday.
The head of state will be accompanied among others by the Education Minister, Fiame Naomi Mataafa, and the Police Commissioner.
The king's birthday is on July 4th.
