The Fiji Visitors Bureau is working on plans to attract tourists from India.

The Fiji Times quotes the Bureau's director of marketing, Joe Tuamoto, as saying quite a lot of Indians visit New Zealand and they are looking at New Zealand tourist organisations to send some of them on to Fiji.

Mr Tuamoto has told the Fiji Tourism Forum that law and order have to be maintained for the benefit of the tourism industry.

But he says some shops and traders as well as sword sellers have created an unfavourable impression on tourists.
