The island of Saipan in the Northern Marianas has been voted the third best destination in a recent Asiana Airlines survey, outranking tourist spots such as Los Angeles and Paris.

The Saipan Tribune newspaper reports more than a thousand members of Asiana's staff participated in the annual survey.

The general manager of Asiana-Saipan, Kim Kwang Joong, reported that Saipan earned a very honorable place behind Bangkok, Thailand and Sydney, with Los Angeles ranking fourth.

The survey covered only destinations where Asiana Airlines operates flights.

Asiana has offices all over the world, including the United States, Europe, China, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, India, and Southeast Asia.
