An New Zealand air force plane has this morning begun a second day of searching for a couple who went missing five weeks ago while sailing from New Zealand to Rarotonga.
The Orion will search the eastern section of an area covering 240 square kilometres of ocean about half way between here and Rarotonga.
Heidi Brook from the New Zealand Rescue Co-Ordination Centre says this area is being targeted, based on the likelihood the couple's boat was caught up in a storm, which hit the area about a week after they left port.
