After Iraq and Kuwait, Fijians are now being recruited for security work in Afghanistan.

Fiji TV reports that the recruitment is being done by A.S.K. Tri-Unity Fiji Limited which has already signed up 2,000 men and women.

They are territorial force soldiers, former police and prison officers and civilians.

They are being given martial arts and other specialist training near Nausori with the first deployment to Afghanistan expected in September.
