American Samoa's Senate President Lolo Letalu Moliga is looking to introduce legislation this week to resolve the cashflow crisis at the LBJ hospital.

Lolo said a bill he is sponsoring would earmark 2 million US dollars from the Hurricane Val insurance account for the hospital.

He is also proposing that some of the fuel excise tax be allocated to the hospital.

Lolo said the administration should be reprioritising how it spends existing taxes as a more permanent solution to LBJ's money problems.

Meanwhile the half a million dollar appropriation to buy medicine for the hospital was submitted to the governor's office last Friday.
