Samoa Water Authority calls tenders for pipeline upgrade

10:23 am on 2 August 2005

The Samoa Water Authority is calling for tenders to be submitted for the construction of pipelines for Upolu.

The work is part of a major upgrading of services to rural areas on both Upolu and Sava'ii.

The upgrading of the system also includes pressure testing, installation of water meters and investigation of leakages.

The Water Authority has received funding from the European Union and the Samoa government for this stage of the scheme.

The programme is designed to improve reticulated water supply development and management in Samoa.

Prospective contractors have until the 19th of August to submit tender documents for this stage.
