The interim CEO of the American Samoa Power Authority, John Marsh has refused to respond to allegations he received a 100,000 US dollar loan which he has failed to repay.

Senator Alo Dr Paul Stevenson raised the issue last week during the US Senate confirmation hearing.

Mr Marsh refused to answer personal questions at a media conference yesterday, but would only respond to questions from local media about ASPA.

Senator Alo alleges the loan was later written off by the company and has called for Mr Marsh to be sacked.

It remains unclear if efforts are now being made to collect the outstanding amount from the Chief Executive.
