The High Court of Solomon Islands has heard a police officer from the assistance mission took a Solomon Islander for questioning and forced him to lie down at gunpoint while the vehicle they were travelling in went through a checkpoint.
John Makasi told the court one of the two RAMSI police officers who took him to the Guadalcanal Beach Resort on December 31st, 2004, ordered him at gunpoint to lie down when they passed the resort check point.
The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation reports Mr Makasi that at the GBR, he was taken to a container for questioning in relation to the death of the Australian police man Adam Dunning.
The lawyer for the office of the PPF commander Greg Stretton suggested to Mr Makasi that he had been threatened by other murder suspects and that was why the officers who took him for questioning didn't want other people to see him.
