An aircraft has been bought by the American Samoan Government to monitor unauthorised fishing in its territorial waters.
The aircraft, which cost about 380,000 US Dollars, should arrive this month.
The money is from a fund aimed at stabilising air services and also from the governor's office budget.
Governor Togiola Tulafono says the plane has been refurbished and painted with the American Samoan Government seal and flag.
He says it will also be available for emergency government travel to Manu'a.
