A man has appeared in Honiara Magistrates Court charged with the murder of a man in Western Province during the period of ethnic unrest.
The Royal Solomon Islands Police says Cornelius Galasa was arrested at Gizo on the 31st August.
Mr Galasa has been charged with the murder of Sae Nare at the KHY Workshop in June 2000.
Mr Galasa was returned to Honiara yesterday where he appeared in the Magistrates Court.
Police opposed bail and Mr Galasa was remanded in custody to appear in court again on the 15th of September 2005.
