The Solomon Islands prime minister, Sir Allan Kemakeza, has come under heavy criticism for allegedly appointing cronies to positions in his office.
Critics say these people are being engaged as policy advisors, researchers and political analysts.
The claims relate to Sir Allan's decision to include his office orderly in his delegation to the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The criticisms also apply to the inclusion of Sir Allan's campaign manager in the party which critics say is a mis-use of thousands of dollars of public money.
Sir Allan said, prior to the group's departure for New York, that the trip would be an eye-opener for his officers.
He added that the trip was the first for his political officers.
