The Cook Islands cabinet has unanimously
decided to revoke the shipping licence of a ship run by the Pacific Forum Line.
The Cook Islands News reports cabinet has instructed that reasonable notice is given to the company about the revocation of the licence of the vessel, Pacific Forum.
The prime minister Jim Marurai said the decision to revoke the licence has prompted queries from some importers.
Mr Marurai says attempts have been made in the past to urge Mataroa Shipping and Pacific Forum Line into a partnership but these failed despite talks.
