Telecom Fiji will go ahead with reductions in tariffs from tomorrow as ordered by the Commerce Commission.
Radio Legend reports that this is despite indications from the international carrier FINTEL and Vodaphone Fiji that they may not reduce their rates as directed.
A spokesperson for Telecom Fiji, Salote Uluinaceva, has confirmed the reductions.
Telecom's parent company, Amalgamated Telecom Holdings has also confirmed that they are satisfied with assurances from the Commerce Commission that its concerns will be addressed in the next 15 months.
ATH says while they anticipate a reduction in income from reduced rates, they will grow their business because of higher consumer demand.
