Fiji's military says its relations with the ministry of home affairs are so strained that its top executives are unable to face the army.
Radio Legend says this has been highlighted by the military spokesman, Captain Neumi Leweni, during a talk back show on their sister Hindi language radio station.
Captain Leweni says the military's relations with the home affairs minister, Josefa Vosanibola, and his chief executive, Lesi Korovavala, are NOT good.
He says "a lot of the issues raised by military have fallen on deaf ears", creating a rift which the military is trying to work its way around.
He says the attempt by the home affairs chief executive to control their budget is yet another ploy to weaken the military and it will be challenged in court.
Captain Leweni says the military knows what the hidden agendas are and will ensure that they do not succeed.
He says the military will protect the Constitution and stand by what it says, regardless of the government's intentions.
