Federated States of Micronesia reworks immigration law

8:24 am on 24 November 2005

The Federated States of Micronesia has changed immigration laws to make it easier for United States citizens, Marshall Islanders and Palauans to live there.

Citizens of the US are now exempt from all entry permit fees and are not required to register their presence in the FSM.

Salespersons' permits, previously issued for one year at a time, will now only be issued for a maximum of six months per permit.
