More Christmas flights between Hawaii and American Samoa

Hawaiian Airlines is adding two flights between Honolulu and Pago Pago to accommodate traditionally higher family travel demand for the holiday season.

The flights are set for December 20th and January 3rd, both departing Honolulu in the morning arriving in Pago Pago early afternoon before returning back to Honolulu.

Hawaiian spokesman Keoni Wagner says the carrier has added the two flights just to make sure the community in American Samoa has plenty of access to seats during this important family period.

The Honolulu-based carrier also announced the adding of daily flights to its scheduled between Maui Island and San Diego, California starting June 9, 2006.
