A Solomon Islands MP, Yukio Sato, says he is very concerned about the increase in spending on overseas trips.
It has been revealed in Parliament that up to October the Government spent more than 700,000 US dollars on overseas trips, superseding what it spent for all of last year.
But the Minister for Finance Peter Boyers says the increase means there is also an increase in business activities.
He said it's an indication of economic growth and people travel overseas to engage in discussions.
