A report from Indonesia says the general election commission in Papua has named five candidates for the governorship of the province.

The Jakarta Post reports they are the incumbent, Jaap Salossa, nominated by the Golkar Party, the current deputy governor, Constant Karma, Lucas Enembe, Barnabas Suebu, as well as Dick Henk Wabiser.

The five will compete in gubernatorial elections next year and the winner will serve a term until 2010.
