Samoa Prime Minister's Chief Executive, Auseuga Poloma Komiti, has confirmed that some of the public doctors involved in a protracted strike have now left the country.
He says those that have left are no longer under bond.
His comments follow a report in the Samoa Observer that the government had put stop orders on all 23 of the doctors who resigned following the unsuccessful strike, including those who did not have a bond.
Auseuga says it may have been the case, but the matter has now been sorted out.
"It could be right that some of the doctors they have been served stop orders, but where there are cases where we have verified that indeed they should not be subject to stop orders that has been cleared up and they've been allowed to go."
Auseuga Poloma Komiti, however could not put a number on how many doctors have left the country, but confirms that up to three are returning to work in Samoa.
