Tongan becomes Attorney General for the Marshall Islands

A Tongan has been appointed the new Attorney General of the Marshall Islands.

He is Posesi Bloomefield, a 30-year old barrister from Tongatapu.

Posesi was selected after many hearings and a cabinet review plus the President's and Commissions confirmation.

In 2001 he started working at the Attorney General's office in the Marshall islands as a legal consul, and was at times the acting deputy Attorney General.
