The US Marshal Service is seeking John Wilfred Penitani, who fled Hawaii after he and another man allegedly beat a man to death because the victim urinated in a pickup truck.

Penitani, a Samoan, is wanted on federal charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and state charges of second-degree murder stemming from the death of Mikiala "Keola" Kahalewai on April 19, 2004, according to the Honolulu Star Bulletin newspaper.

Penitani fled Hawaii prior to a grand jury indictment charging him with murder about a month later.

Both Penitani and another Samoan man, Ulutunu S Faumuina Junior allegedly beat MrKahalewai after the victim was seen urinating in Faumuina's Ford pickup truck parked outside a Karaoke Bar.
